"What they're doing is psychologically damaging the children, especially in kindergarten through third grade. Those are the young children that are really having problems. A lot of them are having to go on medication, go to the doctor, talk to the counselor, because they can't cope with the materials that the teacher is giving them," says Kathryn Goppelt, Education Activist.
“It got to the point where I couldn’t figure it out on my own, and I had no idea how to help her,” Wilkerson said. Wilkerson discovered her daughter was failing math, even though she was coming up with the right answers in class.
