As requested by the State Board of Education, CDE is identifying ways to strengthen the data privacy protections in its third-party vendor contracts involving students’ personally identifiable information. The department is building on current policies governing whether and how student data is shared with service providers and strengthening safeguards that limit how student data may be used, stored, or re-disclosed. If you are unable to attend the July 14th meeting, written comments on the proposed policies may be submitted to Jessica Fuller at [email protected]. You may visit www.cde.state.co.us/dataprivacyandsecurity for more information. The department expects to present final recommendations to the State Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on August 12th – 13th. State Board meetings are open to the public and you are welcome to attend or listen live at: www.cde.state.co.us/cdeboard. | When: Tuesday, July 14 | 1:00pm - 2:30pm Where: State Board Room Colorado Department of Education 201 E. Colfax Ave. Room 101, Denver, CO If you plan to participate, the CDE requests that you review the downloadable presentation below. This information will also be reviewed at the upcoming public meeting. |
Following that section, we will have a visit from the TSD Learning Services department to review their plans for the district's new online registration system, which will be debuting this next school year.
